Diagnosis and Recommendation Integrated System (DRIS) norms for peach (Prunus persica L.) cv. July Elberta in Himachal Pradesh

Importance of nutrient balance in determining yield and quality of fruit crops is well-established but no means of readily quantifying it, is available for peach. Diagnosis and Recommendation Integrated Systems (DRIS) (Beaufils 1) in which leaf analysis values are interpreted on the basis of inter-relationship among nutrients, rather than nutrient concentrations themselves. Though the usefulness of DRIS approach in apple has been studied, no attempts have been made in peach. Therefore, an experiment was conducted to develop DRIS norms and to work out order of nutrient requirement for peach grown in Himachal Pradesh.
