Effect of nitrogen on leaf mineral nutrient status, growth and fruiting in peach

摘要

The highest leaf N was noted where maximum N was applied. However, every higher dose resulted in increasing N contents in leaves. A decreasing trend was observed in case of P and K levels with increasing doses of N. In case of micronutrients, the levels of Zn and Mn indicated fairly positive correlation with the increasing levels of N. There were fluctuating results in case of Fe, B and Co. Tree height, spread, trunk circumference, flowering intensity, fruit set, fruit weight and fruit yield were found to be directly associated with the N content in leaves. Thus 450 g N and 200 g each of P_2O_5 and K_2O/tree to S-year-old onwards trees is recommended as it gives optimum status of nutrients in leaves. These doses are good for tree height, spread, flowering, fruit set and fruit yield.
