In this paper, we propose a calibration method of the BSPAR antenna by calculating an "equivalent weight matrix" which is a matrix composed of several equivalent weight vectors forming directional radiation patterns. We also present an experiment result that achieves a sharper MUSIC spectrum of about 20 dB in comparison with the case of no calibration in an anechoic chamber. In addition, after theoretically considering some more appropriate directive patterns, a simulation result clarifies that the appropriate directive patterns make a shaper MUSIC spectrum of about 10 dB than conventional directive patterns.
