SYNTHESIS OF NEWER OXEPINE, AZEPINE AND THIEPINE BASED CONDENSED HETEROCYCLES VIA THE DIMERIZATION OF BARBITURIC ACID

摘要

The reaction of barbituric acid with an aldehyde in DMSO followed by heterocyclization under different sets of conditions gives oxepine, azepine and thiepine based condensed heterocycles with barbituric acid moiety on the periphery of the molecule.
