The Indian jujube Ziziphus mauritiana Lamk. is very common in India and is widely distributed in warm areas. Cultivar Gola is very popular with the growers. Plant growth regulators play an important role in enhancing growth and development of plants. These chemicals in minute quantities have a significant influences on yield and quality. Growth regulators affect plant metabolism by bringing about a change in nutritional and hormonal status of the plant. The present study was undertaken to investigate the effect of plant growth regulators on photosynthesis and biochemical parameters in cv. Gola at pre-flowering stage during 2001-2002.
