摘要

An eco-friendly facile synthesis of 3-aryl-2-(1H-1,2,3,4-tetrazoI-1-yl) [1,8] naphthyridines 2 has been achieved by interaction of 2-amino-3-aryl-1,8-naphthyridines 1 with triethyl orthoformate and sodium azide in Lewis acidic ionic liquid, [bmim]BF4 in a one-pot reaction. The protocol is green and effective for producing the desired target moiety. The structures of all the synthesized compounds 2 have been established by elemental analyses, IR, ~1H NMR and mass spectral data and screened for their antibacterial activity.
