摘要

Studies on correlation and path analysis were undertaken for 20 characters in 25 apple genotypes. Yield per plant was found to be positively and significantly associated with stem girth, mean tree spread, leaf area, tree volume, total duration of flowering, days after full bloom, days between date of petal fall and date of commencement of June drop, number of flowers per unit shoot length, number of fruits per unit shoot length, fruit set 20 days after full bloom, fruit set 40 days after full bloom,final fruit before harvesting and fruit yield per unit shoot length. Path analysis revealed that the characters like final fruit number before harvesting, number of flowers per unit shoot length, tree volume and days after full bloom had high positive direct effects on yield per plant.
