Effect of foliar application of NPK on the growth of Khasi mandarin seedlings

Urea, double super phosphate and potassium sulphate each at 0.5% were sprayed singly and in combination on Khasi mandarin seedlings after third, sixth and nine months of seed sowing. The maximum increase in shoot growth in term of plant height was observed with spray of N followed by P fertilizer. Root diameter and total dry matter was however, founds to be significantly more in P application than the other treatments. Combined spray of N and P augmented the seedling length and secondary roots/plant. The results indicated that spraying of N and P fertilizers would be beneficial in enhancing the seedling growth.
