Seed pretreatment methods to improve germination in Pterocarpus santalinus Linn. f.

摘要

The study was conducted to find out the effects of different pretreatment methods for different durations on seed germination of Pterocarpus santalinus, an important plant of Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh, India. All the pretreatment methods used here for various durations showed better germination percentage compared to control and can be adopted for raising the seedlings on large scale in the nursery practices for plantation.
