Venezuela agrees to debt deal with Russia

Venezuela and Russia have signed a debt restructuring agree- ment in Moscow that covers $3.15bn of overdue, mostly arms- related, debt owed by Caracas. Venezuela will repay the amount over 10 years, the fnance ministry says, without providing further details. The arrange- ment “minimises Venezuela’s payments” during the frst six years of the deal, a presidential palace offcial says.
