A technique for wind analysis and forecasting as applied to Victoria, British Columbia

AbstractThrough the use of statistics the most frequent wind directions at Victoria are isolated and their causes considered. Charts of the seasonal variation in wind direction are constructed and the causes for these changes discussed. Finally the data are developed to permit quantitative forecasting of the wind direction at Victoria and the probabilities of the accuracy of the forecasts are calculated.
