Quasi-static compression tests were conducted on quasi-isotropic CFRP laminates with an open hole.X-ray micrography was used to detect microscopic damages which occurred around the open hole. The effects of stacking sequence and interleaves on damge progress were clarified experimentally. Asimple analysis predicting buckling stress was applied and it was found that the analysis was valid forlaminates with less microscopic damages.
