PM ASKED TO ACT AGAINST RECURRING MINE FIRES.

The CPI-M MP from Asansol and the mayor of Asansol Municipal corporation hav demanded separate CBI inquiries into the recent mine fire Kunustoria colliery under the Eastern coalfields Ltd. The MP, Mr Bansogopal Chowdhury, has also sent a report to the prime Minister seeking his intervention in bringing an end to recurring incidents of mine fire and subsidence in the Raniganj coalfields.
