To further increase the capacity of the DS- CDMA reverse-link,this paper investigates the effectiveness of interference rejectionweight control (IRWC) for the pilot symbol-assisted coherentmultistage interference canceles (PSA- COMSIC) using recursivechannel estimation (RCE). First, a bit error rate (BER) expression ofthe serial (successive) and paral- lel type hard decision multistageinterference canceler (MSIC) with IRWC usig Gaussian approximationfor multiple access interference (MAI) are presented for no fadingchannels.
