Simulation and Performance Evaluation of Fiber Distributed Data Interface (FDDI) Protocol for Mixed Media Applications

The relative performances in terms of throughputs and delays are evaluated for Fiber Distributed Data Interface (FDDI) networks. The performances are obtained for fixed parameters settings for asynchronous class. The delay and throughput are obtained for data mixed with voice and video traffic. All the results are obtained using the simulation of medium access control (MAC) layer of the FDDI protocol.
