The efficacy of Kocide 3000 (46.1% DF; copper hydroxide) at 0.20 or 0.25%, Indofil M-45 (mancozeb 75 WP) at 0.30%, Tilt 25 EC (propiconazole) at 0.10%, Bavistin 75 WP (carbendazim) at 0.25%, Score 25 EC (difenoconazole) at 0.20% and Blitox 50 WP (copper oxychloride) at 0.20% against Colletotrichum capsici on chilli (Capsicum annuum cv. CH-1) was evaluated in Ludhiana, Punjab, India, during 2009 and 2010. Kocide 3000 at 0.25% and Tilt 25 EC recorded the lowest average disease severity (2.20% for each treatment) and highest mean yields per plot (2.25 kg for each treatment), followed by Blitox 50 WP (2.50% and 2.15 kg, respectively). The phytotoxicity of the fungicides to chilli was also evaluated at 1.0, 3.0, 5.0, 7.0 and 10.0 days after the last spray. The fungicides had no adverse effects on chilli growth and yield.
