摘要

Based on the fact that the major part of friction energy transforms into heat, a method for reconstruction of the friction energy change in contact zone with the help of temperature data measured at different internal points of one of the rubbing bodies is suggested. To solve a corresponding inverse boundary problem, a method of iterative regularization based on gradient minimization is applied. The algorithm is realized using a finite element method (FEM).
