A Design Method of Odd-Channel Linear-Phase Paraunitary Filter Banks with a Lattice Structure

In this letter, a design method of linear-phase paraunitary filterbanks is proposed for an odd number of chan- nels. In the proposedmethod, a non-linear unconstrained opti- mization process is assumedto be applied to a lattice structure which makes the starting guessof design parameters simple. In order to avoid insignificant localminimum solutions, a recur- sive initialization procedure isproposed. The significance of our proposed method is verified by somedesign examples.
