Measuring waves from space

SCIENTISTS AT the National Oceanography Centre in Southampton, Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd (SSTL) and the University of Sannio, Italy, have successfully used signals from GPS satellites to measure the roughness of the sea surface from space.
