Seminoma with moderate size retroperitoneal metastases is uncommon. When treated with primary infradiaphragmatic radiation, 20ndash;35percnt; will relapse, although the majority of these will be cured. When chemotherapy with a better therapeutic ratio than current regimens is defined for seminoma, it may become the optimal first-line therapy for such patients.
