摘要

A 640 Gbit/s (40 Gbitls × 16 channel) dense WDM soliton transmission experiment over 1000 km are reported. The dispersion-managed transmission line comprised conventional 1.3 μm single mode fibers and dispersion compensating fibers with dispersion slope compensation and a repeater span of 50 km. The spectral efficiency was as high as 0.4 bit/s/Hz.
