Unfortunately (with apologies to Mark Twain), it's just like the weather ― everyone talks about product stewardship, but no one ever does anything about it. After several years of multi-stakeholder dialogues, public resolutions and the occasional legislative proposal, results in the U.S. so far remain modest.
