As the AI and IoT markets come together, new applications will emerge - but suppliers will have to simplify their offerings to attract these new customers. COMPUTEX, THE Taiwan-based hardware show, is so big we hacks are offered free Red Bull as a survival aid. As such, it is often one of those shows where you can take away whatever you want. This year though, there were two inescapable messages. First, markets for the Internet of Things and artificial intelligence are merging. AI and machine learning depend on harvesting vast amounts of data for analysis. IoT devices will deliver that data.
