Effect on honey bees of some chemical weedkillers

The butyl and butoxyethanol esters of 2,4,5-T (2,4,5-trichlorophenoxyacetic acid) are hormone weedkillers in common commercial use. The effect of these substances on honey bees was tested in the laboratory, in observation hives, and in the field. Their use does not constitute a hazard to bees.
