Saudi allocation cut drives Sokol premiums

Russian Sokol crude premiums for spot market deals have shot up in August compared with July as North Asian buyers scramble for replacement cargoes after Saudi Arabia announced unprecedented allocation cuts to Asia for October, Asian traders said Monday. Saudi Arabia said last week it would decrease its October crude export allocations to North Asia by as much as 10 depending on the company.
