摘要

Though the widespread killing of protected raptors continued across Malta this autumn, many Maltese are now joining the campaign to stop illegal hunting. Every autumn, thousands of birds, including honey buzzards, marsh harriers, hobbies and ospreys, fly over the islands to spend the winter in Africa. Many of the country's 16,000 licensed hunters wait in valleys, forests and fields to illegally shoot the birds as they pass.
