Iron pyrites as sulphur fertilisers

Elemental sulphur (S), fine-grained marcasite (Ma), and coarsegrained pyrite CPy) were compared as sulphur fertilisers on a grassclover pasture. Total S, sulphate S (S04-S), and total-N/total-S ratio (N/S)t,) were determined on grass and clover separates on three occasions-(harvests 3 (autumn), 5 (spring), and 6 (autumn#x2014;approximately 12, 20, and 25 months respectively, after laying down the trial.
