Had Hollywood written the script, no one would have believed it. Over 15 days of the Dakar Rally, the Race2Recovery team suffered heart-breaking exclusions, mechanical failures and two horrific accidents, but through it all came a car called 'Joy'. Race2Recovery's troublesome Wildcat, named after a team benefactor, limped its way to the finish against all expectations. When it climbed the podium in Santiago de Chile on 20 January, Race2Recovery completed its mission of becoming the first predominantly disabled team to complete the Dakar Rally.
