TOYOTA AND MAZDA have confirmed that they will enter into a new long-term partnership in which they will share powertrain technology. The move by the Japanese car makers is designed to reduce development costs and meet increasingly strict emissions legislation. It is understood that Toyota will share its fuel cell and plug-in hybrid tech, while Mazda will supply its range of Skyactiv engines.
