Formula 1 may be on holiday at the moment, but that hasn't stopped stories flying about over the disappearance of next year's Indian and Korean GPs, and questions marks over the Russian and New Jersey events. One rumour is that there are moves afoot to look at a possible street race in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates. Dubai missed out in F1's initial expansion into the Middle East, when Bahrain stole the march on its rivals, followed by Abu Dhabi with its Yas Island facility. Qatar has been thinking about bidding for a race, while the word is that Dubai wants to hold a nighttime street race, having seen the impact that was made by Singapore's night race and the effect that the Monaco GP has had over the past 85 years.
