TVR sold back to Britain: Sports car brand set to be revived, with the rights bought by a British company

TVR's iconic sports cars are to be made again - and in Britain-under a shock new deal. A newly formed company, TVR Automotive, has acquired rights to the 66-year-old brand, and to all existing designs. It is understood to have been established earlier this year by Surrey-based entrepreneur Les Edgar, well known for extensive business interests that include developing highly successful computer games in the 1990s and taking Aston Martin back to racing in the early 2000s.
