The latest Lamborghini Gallardo, the LP560-4, is the Italian firm's greenest car to date. But does that make it dull? Not a bit of it. Don't be fooled by the familiar looks of the mostly all-new Gallardo LP560-4. Beneath this car's mildly restyled bodywork lies what could easily be described as Lamborghini's most important ever car, one that signposts a bright and, crucially, lasting new future for Sant'Agata's most famous car maker. How so? If there's one statistic that sums up why the 560-4 is such a key car for Lamborghini, it is not the deeply impressive 0-62mph time of 3.7sec; nor is it the 202mph claimed top speed. Instead, it's one that lies at the opposite end of Lamborghini's traditional range of appeal, and it concerns the car's emissions.
