THE FLYING SPUR Speed is a new, slightly hotter, 600bhp update of Bentley's Continental saloon and will be sold, from August, alongside an improved, slightly softer version. The milder Conti will be about ￡15,000 cheaper and retain the 'old' power level of 550bhp, although, like the Speed, it incorporates a series of detail modifications that add about 3.5 per cent to its fuel efficiency.
