Lateral Cervical, C1-C2, Puncture in Cervical Myelography

The lateral cervical, or C1-C2, puncture technique is reviewed after 5 years of experience in which more than 1,000 cervical myelographies were performed by this approach. The safety and simplicity of the puncture are discussed as are the advantages over the lumbar and the suboccipital injection.
