The Ferrari LaFerrari seems to have got everyone rather overexcited. The asking price is suitably outrageous, of course, but then so is the technology. However, if all you want to do is turn some heads, you really don't need to spend a seven-figure sum. Instead, you really could go down the kit car route. No, really. Pay a fairly substantial £27,995 and you could bag a Ferrari Daytona replica. It should be a decent Southern Roadcraft job with Jaguar V12 power and it would fool just about everyone. Then again, if you're going to have a Jaguar engine, it's probably best that it's fitted to a Jag. In that case, try a 2009 recreation of a D-type, which would definitely make people stop, think, stare and point - in a good way. You'll have to pay pretty much £50,000 for it, though.
