How many of the numerous electronic gizmos fitted to your car do you need and/or use every time you climb aboard? And how many of them would you really miss if they weren't there? Having now covered 7000 miles in our long-term Lexus IS-F, I am more smitten by this car than ever, yet I'm equally certain that it doesn't need half the stuffit comes with as standard. Today's cars, the IS-F especially, have become festooned with electronic gadgetry, all of which adds weight, cost, complexity and potential mayhem for would-be secondhand owners a few years down the line.
