In the six years since its launch, the BMWX1 has garnered 730,000 sales worldwide, making it easily the most successful entry in the compact premium SUV class. So this Mk2 model has a lot to live up to. BMW has given its new SUV a more rugged appearance than its predecessor's. There's a much bolder front end, with angular headlights, foglights sited within the front bumper, a contoured bonnet, prominent wheel arches, a more heavily structured body and greater ground clearance.
