摘要

Adsorption and electrosorption of a non-polar compound, benzene, on granular activated carbon have been studied. This study demonstrates that molecules without permanent dipole moment are subject to electrosorption on GAC. The maximum effects of electrosorption obtained were + 34 (adsorption) and #x2212; 46 (desorption). A theoretical model is proposed to explain the experimental results.
