AUDI HAS CONFIRMED it will launch an electric SUV by 2018 as a rival to the Tesla Model X. Expected to be badged Q6, the new vehicle is based on the same MLB platform as the new 07. However, it eschews an internal combustion engine in favour of electric motors and a battery pack, which could have a capacity of up to 100kWh.
