FIRST THE IMPREZA, now it's the Subaru Forester's turn for a life-altering makeover. Bigger, roomier and rather less distinctive than the first two Foresters, the new one will hit the UK this spring. In Forester terms, this edition is a giant leap for mankind. It looks very different for a start, and it packs in space, comfort and refinement. But equally, despite improved 2.0-litre naturally aspirated and turbocharged engines in Japanese spec (the UK will get the unblown unit only) and a new chassis, it also feels soft and rather slow.
