摘要

Seedborne fungi in local green (LG), local red (LR) and GCH-4 castor bean varieties were studied by blotter and agar plate methods. Twelve species of fungi (Alternaria triticina, Aspergillus flavus, A. niger, Botrytis cinerea, Cladosporium sp., Curvularia lunata [Cochliobolus lunatus], Fusarium oxysporum, F. solani, Monilia geophila, Mucor sp., Penicillium sp. and Rhizopus sp.) were detected using both methods. The number of fungal species was highest in GCH-4 (12 species) and lowest in LR (9 species). Aspergillus, Penicillium and Rhizopus spp. were the most common fungi. Cladosporium, Curvularia lunata and Monilia geophila were not detected in LR seeds, whereas Cladosporium and M. geophila were absent in LG seeds. A. flavus, A. niger, Penicillium sp. and Rhizopus were detected in all the seeds of GCH-4.
