Cylinder block casting is one of the very important part, of an engine. It works as a base for other parts of an engine assembly. Most of the other parts is directly or indirectly integrated to the cylinder block casting. Hence, it could be understood that quality issues in cylinder block can reduce the overall performance of an engine.
