摘要

In the present paper, we employ Bessel function, generalized multivariable polynomials of Srivastava and multivariable H-function of Srivastava-Panda in order to obtain a formal solution of the fundamental differential equation of cooling of an infinitely long cylinder of radius a, heated to the temperature u_0 = f(z),z being the distance from the axis and radiating heat into the surrounding medium at zero temperature. In the last, some special cases are discussed to establish the results involving generalized Srivastava polynomials~(10), Laguerre, Hermite and Jacobi polynomials.
