摘要

Nickel(II) and copper(II) complexes of unsymmetrical azomethines having the general formulae (OC10H6CH:NXN:C(R)C6H4O)M (OC10H6CH:NXN:C(CH3)CH:C(CH3)O)M, (OC6H4CH:NXN:C(CH3)C6H4O)M, (OC6H4C(R):NXN:C(CH3)CH:C(CH3)O)M (where X = (CH2)2NH(CH2)2or (CH2NH(CH2NH(CH2)2, R = H or CH3and M = Ni or Cu) have been synthesized by the reactions of mixed imine complexes of the type MLL' (where L and L' are two different imines such as 2-hydroxy-1-naphthaldimine, salicylaldimine, o-hydroxyacetophenonimine or 2,4-pentanedionimine) with 1,5-diamino-3-azapentane or 1,8-diamino-3,6-diazaoctane. These complexes have been characterized by elemental analyses, TLC, conductance, magnetic and spectral studies.
