The gas emissions in a sanitary equipped with a passive ventingsystem was investigated numerically. The Darcy's law was employed tosimulate the gas flow in the landfill. We used the first orderbiodegradation rate in modeling the waste bodegradability. Theresults show that more than 43.3/100 gases produced from the wastewill emit from the landfill surface for R = 30 m, where R is the halfof the well spacing.
