Integrated National Food Safety System in India-Partnership for Safe Food

摘要

Food control system has to be developed in the country which can ensures that food is safe and wholesome. Consumer awareness, enactment of F5S Act 2006 and establishment of Food safety and standards authority under it has initiated the work on establishment of Integrated National Food Safety System. There are number of enabling and guiding provisions which gives a vision for the establishment of the robust appropriate system for the country. FSS Act has also identified that this national system willbe a participatory work of various agencies/ ministries linked with food sector, state governments, all stakeholder groups and local authorities.
