Paul Gandy, the former construction boss of Multiplex, has joined Bovis Lend Lease's southern division as operations director. Gandy, who left Multiplex in 2005, has joined Bovis from Carillion. He will report to Julian Daniel, the head of UK south at the contractor, who said: "I'm delighted to have him on board. Paul will oversee delivery, allowing me to concentrate on client relationships and business opportunities." Gandy's is the latest in a string of high-profile appointments at Bovis over the past two years. Since Murray Coleman was brought in as chief executive in July 2006, Nick Pollard has joined from Skanska as chief operating officer and both the southern and northern businesses have been overhauled.
