Fresh Fiano a friend of food

Coriole first became interested in the potential of Fiano around 2001. I went to Vinitaly, the large annual Italian trade show in Verona, to look for a new white variety from the south that could be interesting as an Australian table. We had producedSangiovese for many years and so were looking for a white grape to partner this red variety. We did have an option on the first Arneis to come into the country, but that appeared to have a history in cooler climates than McLaren Vale.
