The history of organic viticulture research Part 2: Interpretation

In Part 1 of this article, which was published in the March/April 2010 issue of Australian Viticulture, I outlined the history of organic viticulture and the major research studies that have been conducted. In Part 2, I discuss some of the issues withpast research studies, and how it makes the interpretation of results difficultAt the beginning of my PhD, it was compulsory to complete both a literature review and research proposal. The literature review serves three main objectives: to understand what has been researched, how it was researched, leaving us to know what needs tobe researched. The research proposal, therefore, builds on this, outlining the new research project and how it will be conducted.
