New tool available for managing salt and butrient movement

Drought, climate change, salinity and increased pressures on land and water resources has focused global attention on water management. An Australian-based company has recently launched a new tool for tracking salt and nutrient movement that could manage a multi-million dollar salinity problem and save nutrients in plant rootzone by improving the efficiency of how irrigators use their water resources. Officially launched by the Honourable Rory McEwen MP, Minister for Agriculture, Food and Fisheries at the Woodstock Winery and Coterie, McLaren Flat, in May this year, the Sentek Sensor Technologies' SoluSAMPLER~(TM) is set to revolutionise the horticultural and viticultural industries by measuring the level of salinity and nutrients in the soil.
